My name is Ana Vazao. I am a proud product of a Catholic education. I attended parochial schools all my life from kindergarten, at St. Augustine’s Catholic School in New York, my Bachelor of Arts from Assumption University in Worcester, Ma in psychology and my Master’s in education from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. Upon graduation, I served two years as a VESS volunteer (Volunteers for Educational and Social Services) in the great state of Texas. Yes, I lived on $110 a month!
I have 29 years of teaching experience both in the Catholic school setting and the public school system. I have served in many capacities: teacher, Reading Recovery specialist, CCE volunteer and professional school counselor.
I was raised In New York, speak three languages and LOVE to travel. I visited all the continents except for two.
My faith and commitment to serve others formed the person I am today. My desire is to build lifelong learners that understand the importance of our relationship with God, our need to be of service to others and the importance of kindness.
