My name is Carole Rylander and I am honored to be a member of the St. Theresa Catholic School faculty as the middle school science teacher.
My journey as an educator began in the Catholic Schools in Dallas and San Antonio. I then taught in the Texas public schools in the San Antonio area for 25 years and also taught middle school and high school environmental science at Mo-Ranch’s Environmental Leadership Program. After finishing my public school career I spent four years teaching at the Kaohsiung American School in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
I have a BS in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters in Curriculum from Our Lady of the Lake University. In the past I have been an active member of my parish serving as an Eucharistic Minister, lector, and spiritual companion for the ACTS program. When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking, scuba diving, rock collecting, and reading. I am certified to teach Pre-K through grade 8.
