My chemical engineering career began in catalysis and nanomaterials research. The path quickly shifted toward operations engineering in petrochemical facilities, however; this change prompted the move from Allentown, PA, to Port Arthur/Lake Charles, and then to Houston. For 15 years I worked in various interdisciplinary teams focused on running (mostly rather old) chemical plants safely, reliably, and efficiently.
I entered the St. Theresa community in 2008 as a parishioner (both daughters baptized at St. Theresa) and as a church musician - and I am grateful for this opportunity to join the school. For the students I wish to instill a joy for quantitative problem solving, and an eagerness toward lifelong learning; additionally, I hope to contribute to the students’ mental strength and resilience. Some side passions include water conservation, sports nutrition, classical music, and baseball.
